　　It is impossible to find people who have never fallen ill. Illness is certainly a painful experience to everyone. I myself seldom fall ill; however, a few days ago I was seriously ill. That day, when I woke up in the morning, I did not feel well. I had a headache and was weak all over and had to excuse myself from school. Worried, mother took me to see a doctor. First, the nurse of the hospital took my temperature and then the doctor told me I should take a longer rest and take medicine regularly. If I followed the rules strictly, said the doctor, everything would be alright. That day I did nothing but lie bed and felt sorry and lonely. In the evening many classmates of mine came to see me after school. They sent me fresh flowers along with their love and I was deeply touched by their love and I was deeply touched by their love and I was deeply touched by their warm friendship. I have recovered now and have also learned from this experience how important it is for people to keep themselves healthy.

　　寒假里，我又發(fā)高燒。于是，媽媽決定讓我的扁桃體去做手術(shù)。

　　第二天，我到了兒童病房。我覺得這床實(shí)在是太窄了。我上了床，看起了書。不一會(huì)兒，護(hù)士阿姨就過來了，她說：“現(xiàn)在抽血。”我立刻伸出了手，一分鐘不到，血就抽好了，但我心疼血被抽得太多了。

　　第三天，即將開始痛苦的手術(shù)了，我的臉都發(fā)白了。到手術(shù)室門口時(shí)，我坐立不安，不管媽媽怎么安慰我，我都不放心。連給我玩我最喜歡的游戲，我也不想玩了。護(hù)士來了，我的牙齒早就打起了冷戰(zhàn)！我獨(dú)自跟著護(hù)士進(jìn)了手術(shù)室。

　　一開始，先給我打針。眼看著針就要戳到我的肉里了，突然，我靈機(jī)一動(dòng)，想到了我的“打針神功”——我手一動(dòng)不動(dòng)，護(hù)士自然就打得很輕，我也不會(huì)感覺痛了。緊接著要麻醉了，我只覺得一個(gè)東西罩在我的'嘴上，我吸了幾口氣，就立馬睡著了。等我醒來時(shí)，手術(shù)已經(jīng)結(jié)束了。

　　手術(shù)一點(diǎn)兒也不痛，我只是美美地睡了一覺。但醫(yī)生囑咐我說接下來的半個(gè)月內(nèi)都只能吃面或喝粥。我一聽，臉都發(fā)白了。在這半個(gè)月里，我天天吃面喝粥，人都要變成面條一樣了。有一次，我喝粥都要喝吐了，可外婆說一定要吃完，我都要發(fā)怒了。到了最后，我沒辦法，還是只能乖乖地聽外婆的話。

　　哎呀！生病了真難受啊！星期二時(shí)，我覺得身子非常的沉重，全身無力，于是我拖著腳步艱難的`往家走。回家后，媽媽見我臉色蒼白，連忙讓我坐下，量了體溫，給我倒了一杯溫水，讓我多喝水。然后我躺著休息了一會(huì)。媽媽叫我吃飯，吃了幾口，突然覺得胃里翻江倒海，我本想忍住嘔吐，因?yàn)槭澄锟梢匝a(bǔ)充能量，我憋了一會(huì)兒，可食物一直在胃里撞來撞去想出來，所以我還是嘔了，嘔完之后全身軟綿綿的，無力地躺了好久。

　　到了晚上，我蓋著厚厚的棉被睡覺，忽然覺得好冷，于是我叫來媽媽。媽媽來了，她說：“你應(yīng)該不會(huì)冷呀！你的臉那么紅，像兩個(gè)熟透了的紅蘋果。”又摸了一下額頭，原來發(fā)燒了。于是媽媽立刻讓我吃了藥，然后睡覺了。睡覺時(shí)，我咳嗽的聲音像機(jī)關(guān)槍，不停地咳了好久才睡著。雖然折騰了一晚，但我還是堅(jiān)持去上學(xué)，因?yàn)閳?jiān)持就是勝利。

　　To earn some extra money I found a job as the private tutor of a junior high school student when I was a sophomore in a university two years ago. My campus is in the suburbs of Taichung while the student was living in the downtown area of the city. To save time, I always rode a motorcycle to teach except on rainy days. One day, the sky was overcast with the promise of rain, but I said to myself, “Never mind. It would not rain.” So I rode my motorcycle as usual to teach. Then to my dismay, the rain did come and in beating drops before I could make it to my student＇s home. I felt very tired after I came back and went to bed early. At midnight I felt very uncomfortable. When my roommates found I was running a high temperature, I was rushed to a hospital nearby. The nurse assigned to take care of me took my temperature and found that it was 39.5C. “You need to stay here longer than usual,” she said, shaking her head. At first I found life in the hospital boring: no laughter and no friends to chat with. But the second day my girl friend who knew I was ill came to keep me company, singing for me and telling jokes to make laugh. “Laughter is the best medicine, she always said. Under her careful care I checked out the third day and went to school again.

　　It happened some years ago when I was fourteen. On my way home one hot summer day I suddenly felt sick. My stomach ached terribly. I must have eaten something unclean or just too much of something, I thought. Once home, I found I could hardly walk. I was weak and my face must be pale then. It shocked my parents. Before they could rush me to a hospital I fainted. As I came to, I found myself lying in a small room, surrounded by my mother and two of my best friends. They asked me if I felt better, and I said “Yes” and thanked them. In fact, I still felt weak, upset and dizzy. Then a nurse came in, took my temperature and blood pressure, gave me a shot of some medication and ordered me to take presCRIbed medicine thereafter. A few minutes later a physician entered. I asked him what was wrong with me. He comforted me and said, “What did you have for lunch today?” “I dined out.” “And then?” “I ordered two dishes of raw seafood, three dishes of onion ring and a coke.” “You must have been very hungry, right?” I felt embarrassed. “Eat on time and don’t eat too much. That guarantees your health.” From then on I have kept in mind that piece of advice from a doctor. I believe health spells wealth and I am sure health makes everyone happy and hopeful, too.
